Friday night happiness - #SOLSC Day 10

I love March, when during the Slice of Life Challenge, I commit to writing on a daily basis. It's fun during 31 days of posts to watch the ebb and flow of my writing. Some days I'll be incredibly pleased with how a post turned out; other days I'll just be glad I posted anything at all. A huge thanks to the gang at Two Writing Teachers for hosting, organizing, and commenting on this ginormous event each year. I appreciate the community of writers you encourage the entire month of March, and all the Tuesdays the rest of the year. Thank you, thank you.

**This March, I plan to connect as many posts as possible to my #OLW for the year - SAVOR.**

Savoring the feeling of Friday night happiness:
Decompressing after a day of learning with coaching colleagues
Ensconced in my favorite chair
Legs supported by an ottoman
Sunlight streaming through windows
Flames from the fireplace sending waves of warmth
Laptop resting on my lap
As inspiration for writing arrives

Savoring the feeling of Friday night happiness:
The starting point of the weekend
When all events lie ahead
And we anticipate the delights of things to come:
Dinner plans with friends tonight
Laughter, conversation, and good food
A couples shower on Saturday evening
Celebrating two lives coming together

Savoring the feeling of Friday night happiness:
Beginning to plan the weekend "to do" list
Knowing none of those items are meant for right now
Excited to be with my trainer tomorrow
Working on both physical and mental strength
Followed by gentle yoga on Sunday
Decompressing the work done on Saturday
Celebrating the addition of light Sunday evening
As clocks "spring ahead" Sunday morn

Savoring the feeling of Friday night happiness...

  1. This all sounds wonderful! Savor and enjoy!

  2. I love the repetition in here and how that repetition creates the mood of savoring! And Friday nights are so delicious!

  3. Such a delightful capture of Friday night happiness! Savor every single moment of Friday night and the rest of the weekend too.

    1. So funny!! I almost put the AAHHH in there, but didn't know if it would be overkill. But savoring and AAHHH kinda go together, don't you think?! ;)
Good luck to the Sages tonight!
